What Is Yoga?

The most important thing that I have learnt during my first class was just to breathe. I tried all the postures but I didn’t understand them properly. I couldn’t understand why my mind was saying, "If I try to stand here, the following breath would be so painful. If I try to sit here, my body would be tensed." I tried all the postures but with one practice I finally realised that my mind was thinking like that because it is rigid and when I put it in motion, then the body started to work in a natural way. So, be gentle with yourself, don't push the limits.
